Qual è il modo migliore per modellare il bite notturno SOVA?

1. Lavati le mani e pulisci il bite. Assicurati che sia le mani che il bite siano puliti prima di iniziare.
2. Riscalda l’acqua. Riscalda dell’acqua in un bollitore o nel microonde e versala in una ciotola capiente. L’acqua dovrebbe essere a circa 75°C (non deve bollire).
3. Metti il bite nell’acqua. Lascia il bite SOVA nell’acqua calda finché il materiale non diventa morbido e flessibile.
4. Rimuovi il bite. Se possibile, usa una spatola di metallo (oppure una forchetta, se non ne hai una) per togliere il bite dall’acqua. Questo evita che si pieghi o si deformi.
5. Posiziona il bite sui denti superiori. Posiziona delicatamente il bite sui denti superiori, assicurandoti che copra tutte le superfici dentali. Se preferisci, puoi anche applicarlo sui denti inferiori.
6. Modella il bite intorno ai denti. Aspira delicatamente l’aria attraverso le perforazioni per modellare il materiale aderendo bene ai denti. Non aspirare troppo forte, altrimenti potrebbe diventare troppo stretto.
7. Mordi delicatamente. Chiudi delicatamente i denti sul bite, senza lasciare segni profondi nel materiale morbido.
8. Lascia indurire il bite. Tieni il bite in posizione per circa 20 minuti, in modo che si indurisca completamente e si adatti comodamente ai denti.
9. Rimodella se necessario. Non è venuto bene? Nessun problema! Puoi rimodellare il bite fino a 20 volte finché non si adatta perfettamente.

Come devo pulire il mio bite notturno SOVA?

• Al mattino, pulisci il bite SOVA utilizzando un dispositivo di pulizia a ultrasuoni, come quello di MiBrush.
• In alternativa, puoi spazzolarlo con lo spazzolino da denti, facendo attenzione a non graffiare la superficie – i graffi possono attirare batteri.
• Puoi anche spruzzarlo con uno spray disinfettante, come quello di MiBrush, e conservarlo nella custodia protettiva in dotazione.
• Risciacqua delicatamente il bite sotto acqua corrente e conservalo a temperatura ambiente.
• Non usare compresse effervescenti, detersivo per piatti o collutorio per la pulizia.
• Evita detergenti aggressivi, soprattutto quelli contenenti alcol.
• Non mettere il bite SOVA in lavastoviglie e tienilo lontano da fonti di calore estreme.

Attenzione:
Limita l’uso terapeutico a non più di 2 mesi consecutivi. La maggior parte dei bambini risponde rapidamente alla terapia, quindi l’uso del bite notturno SOVA Junior può spesso essere interrotto dopo 4–6 settimane. Rimodella il bite ogni 4 settimane per adattarlo alla crescita delle arcate dentarie.

Most frequently asked questions about SOVA® Junior mouthguard against teeth grinding

1. Is SOVA® suitable for the lower or upper jaw? Although originally designed for the upper jaw, it can also be customised for the lower jaw if preferred.
2. What if it’s too loose and keeps falling out? If the fit isn’t perfect at first, no worries - you can reshape it up to 20 times. If the SOVA® doesn’t stay in place properly, it’s probably formed too loosely. How tight or loose the bit is depends on the suction you apply during shaping. So, if it feels too loose, use more suction to ensure the mouthguard stays in place better.
3. What if it’s too tight, and I feel pressure on my teeth? If the SOVA® puts too much pressure on your teeth, the mouthguard is probably formed too tightly. Try using less suction while shaping for a more relaxed fit.
4. I'm struggling to shape the mouthguard properly. What should I do? The recommended water temperature is 70°C, but you can go slightly higher - around 80–90°C. Just make sure the water is no longer boiling when you place the mouthguard in. After about a minute, the SOVA® should be soft enough to mould. A good sign that it's ready is when the material turns completely transparent.
5. Does the SOVA® protect the back molars? Yes. Unlike many mouthguards, SOVA® extends to cover your back molars for complete protection.
6. Can I use SOVA® with dental work? Yes. Permanent dental work, such as crowns, veneers and bridges, are safe as long as they’re placed correctly and in good condition.
7. Can I use SOVA® with braces? It’s possible. However, we recommend consulting your dentist to make adjustments to the mouthguard. In case of intensive adjustments to the teeth, the orthodontist may suggest an alternative so as not to hinder the progress of the treatment.
8. What if I accidentally bite through my mouthguard? SOVA® is designed to be highly durable. If damage does occur, it’s likely due to excessive pressure during shaping. It’s, therefore, important to apply only light pressure during the moulding process.
