Instructions for Use – Oral Icon® Polishing Pastes

For use with the Oral Icon® Tooth Polisher

Step 1: Preparation

1. Charge the device:
   Ensure the Oral Icon® Tooth Polisher is fully charged before use. Use the included Type-C cable and a suitable USB charger.
2. Choose the attachment head:
   Select the appropriate polishing head for your treatment:

• Cup-shaped polishing head: For general polishing of tooth surfaces.
• Umbrella-shaped polishing head (with ridges): For interdental spaces and hard-to-reach areas.

Select the polishing paste:
Choose the right Oral Icon® Polishing Paste based on your goal:

• Coarse Grit: For stubborn stains and discoloration.
• Medium Grit: For weekly maintenance.
• Fine Grit: For a smooth finish and sensitive teeth.

Step 2: Applying the Polishing Paste

Attach the polishing head:
Secure the chosen polishing head firmly onto the Oral Icon® Tooth Polisher.

Apply paste:
Place a small amount (about the size of a pea) of polishing paste in the center of the head. Make sure the paste is secure to prevent splattering during use.

Step 3: Polishing the Teeth

Turn on the device:
Press the power button to start the Oral Icon® Tooth Polisher.

Set the speed:
Use the mode button to select the desired speed. It’s best to start on the lowest setting, especially for first-time use or sensitive teeth.

Polishing motion:

• Gently place the rotating head on the tooth surface.
• Move the device slowly across the tooth, lifting the head slightly every 2–3 seconds.
• Polish each tooth individually for about 10 seconds. Avoid applying excessive pressure.

Step 4: After Polishing

• Turn off and clean the device:
  Switch off the device and remove the polishing head. Rinse it if desired or wipe it clean.
• Rinse your mouth:
  Thoroughly rinse your mouth with water to remove any remaining polishing residue.
• Clean the handle:
  Wipe the handle of the device with a clean, slightly damp cloth.

Additional Tips

• Recommended frequency: Once a week is usually sufficient. Fine Grit can be used more often if desired.
• Combine with daily oral care: Use the polishing paste in addition to your regular brushing routine. Continue brushing twice daily and cleaning between teeth.
• For sensitive teeth: Start with Fine Grit and use a low speed.
• When in doubt: If you have enamel erosion, bleeding gums, or other dental concerns, consult your dentist before use.

Warnings

• Not intended to be swallowed: Spit out the paste after use and rinse your mouth thoroughly.
• Use under supervision for children: The paste is not harmful, but designed for adult use.
• Not suitable as food or drink: For oral use only. Use the paste as directed, and keep out of reach of young children.

What if I accidentally swallow some polishing paste?
No worries. The Oral Icon® Polishing Paste contains no harmful substances such as fluoride or titanium dioxide. Swallowing small amounts is not dangerous, but be sure to rinse your mouth thoroughly after use.
